The eat was explosive and the fight unforgettable, with the fish making blistering runs toward deeper water before being successfully brought to hand. Consistent action continued throughout, with anglers like Gary, Minx, Kevin and Bruce all contributing to the overall tally and enjoying classic Farquhar GT encounters.

Bumphead parrotfish provided some of the most powerful and memorable fights of the period, with 7 fish landed. Steve delivered one of the standout catches, landing a massive 110 cm bumpy after an intense battle over a shallow sandy knoll. David also enjoyed success with a strong 93 cm fish taken from the surf, while Dan added another after a high intensity fight on foot. Later in the period, Mark landed a quality bumpy early in the week and followed it up with another, while Crash capped off his trip with his first bumphead parrotfish, rounding out an exceptional week of fishing.
Bonefish offered reliable action throughout with 28 fish landed, including several trophy specimens. Crash made an immediate impact, landing a superb 66 cm bonefish early in the week, one of the larger fish of the period. Minx also added a quality 65 cm fish, while consistent catches across both weeks ensured plenty of action on the flats. Bonefish also played a key role in multi species success, with Steve completing a flats slam that included a GT, a bumpy and a bonefish in a single day.

Two moustache triggerfish were landed, andrew opened the account with a well-earned fish from the surf, while Gretchen later added another, showcasing the patience and precision required to target these challenging species.
Overall, Farquhar delivered a dynamic and rewarding two week period, filled with firsts, trophy fish and unforgettable encounters. Decent Gt’s and hard fighting bumpies, technical triggerfish and quality bonefish, it was great to see some familiar faces and even greater to make some memories with new ones.
