This week, Cosmoledo was presented with terrific weather, a gentle breeze to keep the heat away and making fishing slightly easier. Tides moving from neaps into springs, our anglers were chomping at the bit to get onto the water and experience the beauty Cosmoledo has to offer as well as tackle some Gt’s.
The week was full of firsts for our guests with Julian, Sangston, Daniel and Michael all landing their very first Giant Trevally on Fly! All our other guests also successfully added more Gt’s to their tallies, with Brian landing himself an incredible Gt, sight fished off the edge of a deep pancake flat, stretching the tape measure to 116cm!! Congratulations to you guys on your outstanding catches.
Julian managed to bring a 50cm yellow margin to the net, typically the harder of the main triggerfish species to catch!! He and Brian were also able to add a moustache triggerfish to their tallies rounding a good week of fishing off for them.
Thank you to every one of you guys for coming out this week! While fishing was alittle slower then usual, some special fish were landed and bucket list species ticked.
