Cosmoledo delivered pristine conditions, glassy seas, and classic spring tides building toward the full moon. These conditions created perfect opportunities both on the flats and outside the atoll, allowing guides and guests to target a variety of species. With first-timers and seasoned returners, the week offered the full Cosmoledo experience: GTs in the surf, milkfish feeding offshore, bonefish cruising the flats, and exciting dredge action over the deeper reefs.
The GT fishing this week was exceptional, with fifty-one GTs landed in total. Donald Moore opened his account with his first-ever GT, later adding a powerful ninety-seven-centimetre fish. Rasmus Ovesen landed a breath taking 120cm fish off a coral head. James Rogers also got in on the big GT action and landed two extra ordinary fish, one of 108cm and a second of 117cm, two exceptional fish! Together, James and Michelle Rogers built impressive GT tallies throughout the week.


Bonefish were present in smaller numbers but outstanding quality. Every bonefish landed measured over sixty centimetres.Volkmar landed a sixty-five-centimetre bone, while Martin and Rasmus each produced sixty-centimetre fish. Rasmus then added a spectacular seventy-one-centimetre bonefish, a fast-paced and unforgettable moment on the flats.
Milkfish appeared in good numbers throughout the week. Calm seas allowed for excellent positioning, resulting in Ian, Ty and Donald all landing milkfish with guide Brad. These surface-feeding giants provided long, powerful battles characteristic oft heir nature.
Permit remained the elusive “gold” of the atoll. Doug spent his week hunting permit exclusively, experiencing numerous follows and refusals, testing him and his guides patience a good reminder of the challenge and thrill that define permit fishing.Ian and Ty, no strangers to the Seychelles saw a good few fish throughout the week, with Ty successfully landing one on his first day.All the other action meant that the trigger fishing was quiet this week, but the final day produced a beautiful yellow-margin triggerfish landed by Rasmus.
The dredge produced exciting actionin the deep with Rasmus and Michelle each landing dogtooth tuna, Martin and Rasmus also landed African marbled grouper and multiple other species throughout their respective sessions, all providing somei ntense battles. Speaking of diverse species was a spectacular fish caught by Donald whol anded an enormous 135cm centimetre barracuda.
With fifty-one GTs, powerful milkfish, one hard-earned permit, dogtoothtuna, Napoleon wrasse, barracuda, African Marble Grouper, bonefish over seventy centimetres and a final-day yellow-margin triggerfish, Cosmoledo once again proved why it stands among the greatest saltwater destinations on earth.
Clear skies, gentle tides and an explosion of species diversity created a week of unforgettable fishing—leaving all ten guests already planning their return to this remote, wild atoll.
